Minerals Beneficiation & Agglomeration Department

The scope of the department is the derivation of technologies for the production of high-quality concentrates from crude ores using advanced laboratory scale equipment and pilot plant units to meet their specifications for industrial applications. The laboratory and pilot plant studies are carried out using different types of techniques to separate efficiently the valuable minerals from their gangue minerals including comminution (size reduction); size classification; gravity separation; magnetic and electrostatic separation; froth flotation; agglomeration; dewatering; and filtration.
