The Composite materials Department (CMD)
Carries out basic and applied researches on Metallic and Polymer composite materials. It was established in 2003 after reorganization of CMRDI divisions.
The mission of CMD is to Development, fabrication and evaluation of the structures, physical, mechanical and tribological properties of the composites including Metal Matrix Composites, Metal Matrix Nanocomposites, Syntactic Composite Foams, Composite Foams, Amorphous Matrix Composite, Polymer Matrix Composites, and Polymer Matrix Nanocomposites. Moreover, conducting training courses about the technology developed for junior scientists, university students and engineers from industry. Furthermore, Publishing of technical papers in international journals and conference in the field of composites. Finally, Providing consulting services.
