Chemical and Electro Processing
Chemical and Electro Processing Department
Chemical and electro processing department aims to achieve various targets to enhance the welfare of the society through increasing the revenue of scientific research and development (R&D). Also, to achieve outstanding scientific research in various areas of the department research. Besides, enlarging the international cooperation between our department and the other research departments our institute, other institutes, universities, and local industrial sectors. In addition to concern with various environmental issues and problems and contributes to solving those problems. It is also concerned with treating pollution in air, water and soil, as well as supervising environmental assessment studies for various industries.
The mission and main research fields in the department are the synthesis and production of compounds from their precursors, raw materials, ores, industrial wastes and electronic wastes. Our targets are supporting and developing the industries establishing on the synthesis, preparation, production, leaching, bio-leaching, industrial wastes and e-wastes treatment of the compounds and materials. Presenting competitive engineering and manufacturing solutions in Water Treatment Systems and waste recycling with the attempt to make minimal impacts on the environment as well. Also, providing advanced applied scientific solutions to assess and treat all types of pollutants related to industry and the environment. In addition to conduct innovative applied research, contributing to sustainable management, preserving resources and ecosystems, and using industrial waste as low-cost secondary resources that can be used in various industries and smart applications while improving environmental management. Other goals are increasing the recycling of the e-wastes, recovering value-added metals and compounds from secondary resources, and maintaining innovative solutions for pollutants removal or degradation from different industrial wastewaters.
