• Surface Engineering Technology.
• Environmental problems related to industry: metal finishing workshops.
• Composite materials (in-situ, metal matrix), structure property relationship, Properties of metal coatings.
• Nanostructure materials and nano-coatings: R&D in electroless nano-composite coatings, sol-gel nano-ceramic coatings and development of bio-nano-coatings for biocompatible implants.
• Ceramics: Ceramic coatings; corrosion of ceramics in molten salts.
• Solar collectors and solar cells.
